Our economy is in the shitter, so it's time to bust out the ramen noodles. No more fancy Hamburger Helper at over $2 per box. No sir, I like my food nice and cheap.

Here are some recipes from http://www.mattfischer.com/ramen to liven up your $.20 bowl of ramen.

5. Creamy Curry Ramen

Ingredients:

Chicken Ramen
1 tbs Cream Cheese
1-2 tbs Milk (to get consistency right)
Curry powder
Garlic Powder
Cayenne Pepper

Microwave noodles in water with contents of spice packet for 6-7 minutes. Next, drain the broth from noodles. While noodles are warm, add cubed cream cheese, milk, and spices, then stir to combine. Microwave for another 30 seconds to finish melting the cheese. Stir. Enjoy.

4. Hollywood Peanut Ramen

Ingredients:

Dry Roasted Peanuts
Hoisin Sauce
Soy Sauce
Ramen (any flavor)

Cook the noodles as directed on the package, and while cooking, prepare the sauce as follows.
Take a handful of pre-shelled dry roasted peanuts and crush them into pieces that are around the size of a chocolate chip. Next, you add 3-4 tablespoons of Hoisin Sauce. Then mix-in you add 4-5 tablespoons of Soy Sauce. Drain the noodles and apply the crunchy peanut sauce.

3. Spicy Egg Ramen

Ingredients:

1 Pack of Creamy Chicken Ramen (chicken will also work)
1 tsp of sriracha hot sauce
2 tablespoons of sweet chilli sauce
1 tsp of maggi sauce (brown liquid with yellow label)
1 egg, beaten
finely chopped spring onions

Bring a pot with 1 1/2 cups of water to the boil, add the ramen and cook until almost ready. When the ramen is almost done, add the sriracha, sweet chili sauce, maggi sauce, and spring onions (as well as flavor packet if desired). Stir until mixed together. Add the beaten egg slowly, while stirring, as not to create egg clumps. Once the egg is stirred into the ramen and cooked, serve. Serves 1.

2. Barbeque Cheeseburger Ramen

Ingredients:

1 package of Beef Ramen
Ground beef (about half the size of the Noodles)
4 Tbsp. Barbecue sauce
Grated Parmesan cheese

Prepare ramen as you usually would, but drain most of the water out, leaving just enough to stir in with the seasoning packet. Brown ground beef in a separate pan, drain the pan of grease, saving some for the ramen. Toss the browned ground beef into the ramen (two forks helps with this). Mix in the Barbecue sauce and Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!

1. Bad-Ass Bacon Ramen

Ingredients:

1 packet of Oriental style noodles
4 Slices of Bacon chopped
A Few Chopped Green Onions (optional)
1 Dash of worcestershire Sauce

Fry up the bacon, and then drain. Pour out all but 1 or 2 table spoons. In the pan
add the seasoning packet and stir. Prepare the ramen according to the directions, and then pour this wonderful fluid all over. Top with a few green onions and a dash of worcestershire and you have a meal that will make you useless on the couch in no time!

You will have to eat the Ramen plain, and sell the seasoning packets on the street. Snort some of that sweet spice up your nose, and you will understand. DON"T JUDGE ME!
